I think if the West hadn't intervened in Iraq and Libya, we'd be seeing something similar to what's happening in Syria in both those countries anyway.

The Arab spring would still have happened - essentially, it is a movement borne from the lousy opportunities created by dictatorships, whether in Tunisia, Egypt, Syria, Iraq or Libya.
And Saddam's or Qaddhafi's route to staying in power would have been similar to Assad's - target the rebels supported by the West, leave the hardliners alone and make yourself the best available option. So we'd be facing the same issue of IS anyway.
Plus, we would have seen Iran support the Assad regime, and the Shia majority in Iraq. That would have created a whole other mess.
