It's not impossible to find races where the competitors are fine, and there's a system to report griefing, but there are plenty of players who say they can't go more than two races without some jackass ruining it. FM4 had a search and lobby list system but the Xbox One games don't have that, making it difficult to find clean multiplayer racing if you don't have friends you trust to join you. There is a Leagues multiplayer system that does matchmaking based on temperament, but it's not perfect.

If you just want to play tag with friends online, there's no trouble there. A limitation on Tag is that you can't choose to do it (with the system timer/points) on any track, you have to do it on the airport map.

Go to youtube and search for FM6 and Tag or Virus for examples.
