I recall an interview with Jack Nicklaus back with Tiger had won his 13th major or so...

The interviewer asked Jack how he thought he would feel when Tiger eventually broke his record of 18 major wins.
Jack said something along the lines of, and I paraphrase extensively because I can't seem to find video of this, "Hold on a second. Let's not hand him the trophy just yet. He's not as young as he used to be. He's in his thirties now, and we'll see how his body holds up. It could still betray him and he'll have to figure out how to come back from injury and the like. But if he beats my record, more power to him."
How prescient that was.
