Annoying attorney-centric post (getting things off my chest IM)

So today I had to testify in court again. Not related to my ex-partner (thankfully) but this time because a client from 4 years ago claims I screwed him by not advising him of immigration consequences of his plea of guilty. He's since been deported.

Dude told his current attorney that I never told him he could or would be deported (I did) and that if I would have he wouldn't have pled guilty (he would have, because he knew he had no case and wanted the best deal possible with the least expense to him). So today I had to go in and break attorney-client confidentiality and testify in my own defense, basically, because dude got his ass deported and decided to blame me instead of owning his own shit.
