When my surgery was schedule, my mother was insisted "I'm coming to stay with you and take care you when you have your surgery". I had no issue with this and thought it was sweet, but I told her it was not necessary and this was extremely minor surgery, but she was really worried. In fact, she (and my brother) were all worried the day of my surgery and I was like *shrug*.
Anyway, last month mom mentioned that she wasn't coming because Dad was worried that she would slip on the ice :)
