I was thinking that canceling outright instead of trying to work with the company was a little bit crappy - things happen, you know?

also more odd than crappy: it was implied he would have been ok leaving the workers there after just letting them in? because one brief look makes for knowing trustworthiness?

(I totally understood not wanting to leave his key, though.)
