see that there is way more art than science that goes into these decisions. There are lots of factors. Academics, extra-curricular activities, what kinds of obstacles the student has overcome, the damn essay. The law at issue includes diversity as one of the criteria which actually makes perfect sense in admissions because you are trying to build a student body. Diversity is a positive in helping students develop and learn(learn tolerance, cross-cultural understanding, different perspectives). That is what is at issue. It's not quotas. So it really isn't off point.
