I don't think this film redefines *how* to make a film a blockbuster, I think it capitalizes on *what* makes a film a blockbuster.

Big name actors. Action. Nostalgia. Visuals. etc.

This movie is ticking a LOT of "should I see it" boxes for moviegoers.
