Beats me. But that was a long while ago, culture-wise. Maybe dinosaur geeks and SW geeks had less overlap?

You and I are just going to speculate til our brains hurt on this without accomplishing anything. We'll know in a week.
I see a LOT of positives lined up for this film and only a few negatives. It looks like you might see those as more balanced or slightly in favor of the negatives.
But one data point (me) says this is the film to do it. I am a HUGE detractor of the prequels. They and the Special Editions killed my inner SW fan. I'm a tough, tough sell for this movie. But it has me eager to see it because it is hitting a lot of the marks I expect from any movie, let alone a SW movie. I don't think I'm alone based on the general enthusiasm I hear from friends.
