Apropos of nothing in particular other than travel idea. I considered going to the concert in Vegas. But then realized it was going to be in June.

Vegas isn't the desert. It's an Air Coditioned city in the middle of nowhere desert. -- nm

True. But to walk around and see the city, which I would want to do, you do have to go outside a lot. -- nm

The walkable portions of the strip and downtown are still great during the day.

you'd be better off walking in LA than in Las Vegas, you don't realize how huge the casinos are until you try to walk from one to another -- nm

Blue October. They've been around a long time, but most people have never heard of them. They are local to Texas.

I wouldn't likely know them except Roo was a huge fan and made me listen. I like their style

a lot of their stuff is very emotional. The lead singer is very bipolar and has a long hx of drug problems and comes through a lot in his lyrics.

I went to an outdoor concert in Late May in Vegas. It was at the pool/beach at Mandalay Bay. The band was on a stage in the middle of the pool.
