The walkable portions of the strip and downtown are still great during the day.

Yes, it's a hundred degrees, but there is plenty of shade, you're walking inside through casinos part of the time, and it's still festive.
Late July through early September is a different matter, but walking around outside in mid-June should be tolerable, if not actually enjoyable
