bad movies = bad box office. but my habit is to see pretty much everything first-run in a theater that i am interested in seeing

i'm sure there is my corresponding viewer on the opposite end of the bell curve whose habit is to see everything first-run 60 or 90 days later when it hits iTunes or Amazon.

between the two of us, that may average out to 4 theater views a year. ticket sales over the past decade have been mostly flat, rising single digit percentages when they do. it's more the exhibitors jacking the price up regularly that keeps box office totals increasing year-to-year
