openers were always the thing for me, once I got into playing more. the research, the risk, the stress; but woo for getting them right.

I won a cttp (thanks, Mop!) once or twice. I was pretty darned good at 'em, back in the day.

bonds were, as Mel said, super cinchy, if sometimes still time-consuming, especially when hsb&r had their killer easy charts.
