I probably shared this before, because, ya know, y'all have known me for 16 years; and repeats happen. my oldest brother's wife was trying to, in effect, teach her kids, when they were little, that they didn't like avocados, because she didn't. "we don't like avocados" and such. we subsequently saw them eating and really enjoying guacamole, and you could almost see the lightbulbs over their heads as the connection was made.
happened with some other foods, too. (my mom did it to me with "we don't like earl gray tea" - not my fave; but, when I tried it on my own, I told her there wasn't a "we." heh.)
