there's no crass, pandering use of 3D in SW:tFA. It's just more of a subtle use. I think after I see it again, I'll be able to render a more fully informed opinion.
And I agree with what you're saying. I think there will be people, especially younger directors who have grown up in a world with this movie technique who will start exploring what it can do to tell a story. Especially if the tech gets affordable. We'll see.
