That sounds pretty cool.
My "thing" around Christmas is to come home after the days events with the parents, have some mulled wine and cheese and snacks, and watch A Christmas Carol (either the 1951 version with Alistair Sim or the 1999 version with Patrick Stewart), followed by It's a Wonderful Life.
