Polling this week showed 33% of Canadians agreed with Trump's ban on Muslim immigration. That's greater than everybody who voted Conservative in October and since we all know that not every Conservative would agree with it, that means a goodly chunk of Liberal and if my hunch is correct, maybe even more NDP voters agree with it too.

People may have a bunch of different motives. Probably a more useful exercise thinking about them than just saying, "Bigots!"
