I remember seeing it anecdotally, too. But I think any true effect it had on a film's overall box office was cancelled by loss of screens.

I'd be curious to see what the percentage of full capacity Star Wars was. I read somewhere that Jurassic World was at 64% or 65%. I'm guessing that would put Star Wars between 70% and 75% total capacity.
