I strongly maintain that Chretien's legacy will look less and less strong as historians take a run at it.

Weak on national unity (almost blew the referendum).
Weak on global affairs (following Mulroney's diplomacy achievements, was always going to be tough, but really entrenched on anything non-trade related).
Weak on corruption (and not just adscam).
Strong on economy.
Strong on politics.
Strong on education.
Overall, a positive run, but not one that will ever flirt with a Canadian all-timer.
