@NWBR - Australia has a "hidden" GST but also has input tax credits.

The price advertised is the amount you pay, tax included.
And if you want to know how much of what you paid was tax, you look at the printed receipt.
I find it a lot more convenient. In Canada I still feel like I am being ripped off.
