So are we now looking at a long time before the box office records star wars broke get broken again

To me Star7 was an event more than just a movie. I don't seethe next Jurasic Park or even STAR8 being quite the event that these movies were. I think these records will last quite a while.

They usually do. It's fairly unusual to have it broken twice in one year. 1989 was the last time and it was broken in consecutive weekend. -- (link)

Also Jurassic World was unusual in that it barely broke the previous record. Usually there's a jump each time. -- nm
