But both go back to the original Star Wars feel. It was like an old movie serial. It's melodramatic. It's corny. It's cheesy. It's good v. evil in its most basic sense. Its aspirations are fun escapism, not really much more than that. It just did it supremely well. And trying to overlay more depth on it was what killed episodes I-III.
