That was totally my grandparents. My grandmother probably lived another 7 years because she was afraid of leaving him alone.

I'm totally not kidding. There were at least 4 times we thought it was the end (not to mention surviving several bouts of cancer in the 50s and 60s) and one time she snapped to when she heard his voice in her room and recovered from there.
