To come out as a freak against the norm on this board, inside is a complete list of things I like about Star Wars

1. John Williams's amazing score. Truly a great modern symphony done for today's classical music patrons, the movies.

2. lightsabers - as much as I try to deny Star Wars, lightsabers are really fricking cool

3. some elements of The Empire Strikes Back - not enough to love all of the movie, but there were some fine moments here and there

4. the warm memory of the feeling I got when as an elementary school student I saw the very first Star Wars - its for this reason that I will eventually see the new movie, but I'm not in elementary school anymore and I just don't love the franchise

I admire the geeky obsessiveness with which a large number of you appear to love this franchise, but I just don't. My heart is so cold to it that you'll need to cut open that oversized furry kangaroo thing to get warm.

I feel like the frakkin Grinch overlooking Whoville on the subject of Star Wars here.
