It's got little hints - homages? - to Twin Peaks and Brazil, but in the end it just serves to wrap up the loose ends from the mega penultimate episode, and still loose ends were left.
Why the UFO subplot?
Why the Reagan subplot?
It felt incomplete but not so much that the season came crashing down. As a whole, season 2 was excellent and surpassed the already great season 1.
