i'd still rather drink the juice. i don't believe a can full of chemicals can be good for you.

it says to me they're fiddling with the definition of "sugar". there's no protein or fat in it, only other choice is sugar. -- nm

Sprite: 38g carbs (38g sugars) Apple Juice 42g carbs (37.5g sugars). Perhaps those 4.5g non sugar carbs account for the addittional calories. -- nm

there are many types of sugar and the calorie count is simply the burn value of the product, sugar, fat etc combined
