Anakin -->Luke & Leia (twins, remember)--> Ren&Rey

From Anakin to Rey is equally strong regardless of which twin is her parent.

That saber scene was more about Rey being stronger than Ren. Even untrained she has more raw power than he does.

He has to use his anger and his pain (smacking his wounded side, thanks Chewie!) to even hold his own. His hubris was showing and you begin to see why Snoke was able to turn him.
