Sean Lee sits out meaningless game and it costs Cowboys LB $2 million

Sean Lee's decision to sit out the Dallas Cowboys' season finale was a really expensive one for the star linebacker.
Lee, who was inactive for the Cowboys' game against Redskins in Week 17, lost $2 million in salary.
Lee earns a $2 million bonus for his 2016 base salary if he plays in 80 percent of the Cowboys snaps this season.
He has currently played in 812 of the Cowboys 989 snaps, which gives him 82.1 percent of the snaps needed to hit the bonus.
However, with Lee missing Sunday's game because of a hamstring injury, he dropped below the threshold since the Cowboys were on the field for at least 27 plays, at which point Lee will have played in just 79.9 percent of the team's plays this season.
That means Lee's base salary will stay at $3 million for 2016 and the final week of the season cost him $2 million in earnings next year.
