you can tell he's ready to get his Constitutional Law Professor hat on.

I will say that I think the 2nd Amendment is more delicate when it comes to Slope arguments. We are a country which had to fight it's way out of the government we had. So that resonates with me. But the Pro Gun lobby is so resistant to a well regulated militia that I feel like there's more give to the Slope argument. That regulation is needed to deal with a problem we have (gun violence) rather than protecting against a problem we don't have right now (unchecked Executive authority).
