there was a danish bakery in san jose for years that I heard had fresh ones, but they closed down last year when the ancient strip they were in was sold to be torn down and something else built there.
oo, google says whole foods may sell them at a reasonable price. I think trader joe's still sells bags of small ones, but then you miss the goodness of warming them over a mug of tea or coffee.
