I dislike using religion as marketing material. (See BB link for that hvac company site).

A HVAC company run by American muslims likely wouldn't - nay, COULDN'T - advertise a similar founding.

"Someone at my mosque encouraged me to start an HVAC company", "praise allah for duct tape", etc ... It just wouldn't work in the market.

Although that second one might work as a t-shirt slogan.

I'm sure the company does fine work, and if they were highly rated I likely wouldn't have qualms about hiring them. But I'd be concerned that the way they're marketing their religious background is pious, and that their focus on piety would lead to internal hiring decisions that intentionally avoid diversity.
