Hey ST photographers (or anyone else who wants to chime in), I have a question for you. -- (edited)

My firm is in the process of a complete website redesign. One of the things we want is a cityscape or two to show our local bona fides. The publicly available creative commons license pics are heavily overused and aren't all that great anyway.
I know a local amateur photographer who has done some really nice work in taking pics like this, and I approached him to see if he'd be willing to license or let us purchase a pic or two for use on our site.
What's a fair cost for this sort of thing? I don't want to overpay, but I obviously want to be fair too.

I paid stocksy about $150 for a license to use a photo in a shipping product. For a website, that seems around the right ballpark. -- nm
