In response to "Daisy Ridley = Keira Knightley + Lena Headey" by Max

After backboarding, here are my (s word) thoughts

Everyone seems to be in agreement that Rey is related closely to Luke (I don't know how you'd make it that she's Leia's daughter/Ren's twin without Han saying something) but Anakin was related to nobody special when he was found with extraordinary midichlorian levels. Rey could be the same. I also think she's had no training before, even that she's forgotten. It's The Force Awakens, not The Force Remembered.

But if she's Luke's daughter I'm really more interested in who might be her mother. I hope it's the Chrome Trooper!

Minor quibble: the trooper who yell's out "Traitor!" and battles Finn. First of all, the way he winds up his weapon is always going to look like break dancing to me. Troopers don't use power-stance positions. But also: there are *thousands* of troopers. They're not supposed to take their helmets off. "Traitor" was obviously out of recognition and not some war cry that trooper yells every time he attacks someone in the Resistance. Even if he knew FN##### was AWOL, how is he recognizing Finn?

Two elements I disliked the most: Snoopy reminding me of the all powerful dude in the MCU, and the monsters that Han was transporting being cgi. The realism of the rancor monster in Jedi was fantastic even if they just showed it briefly. If you're going to spend that much on the movie give us anamatronics instead of cgi. It felt like a syfy movie or scene from The Librarians.

Best sequences: the first Falcon chase/battle, Rey resisting Ren's force, Rey mindtricking the trooper, Han confronting Ren, Rey vs. Ren and sabre fight.

Best mini scenes and dialogue:
*thumbs up*
"Listen, Big Deal, you've got a bigger problem: women always figure out the truth. *Always.*"
"That's not how the Force works!!"
"Hey!" *blaster*
The nurse snark-humoring Chewbacca
