What he says is actually on point - that until minorities are those making decisions in Hollywood about which films get made and which don't,

maybe if he started to make films that actually make money, he could help them out.

what he's saying is that other minorities aren't being considered for the big attention getting roles/gigs. they can't win if the studios don't hire -- (edited)
