One other thing I'd add about Hollywood is that movies made from a different perspective than the Hollywood norm get written off as flukes.

Passion of the Christ is a great example of this - there was clearly an untapped audience that came out for the movie. But Hollywood didn't make that movie, because it didn't understand the people who went to see it, or the box office potential.

But it's the same with Tyler Perry fans, senior citizens, Hispanics, etc. These people don't get movies made for them, because the people who decide what movies get made don't really understand them.

And I get it, because if you are investing $100-$200 million in a movie, you want to invest it in something you understand, not something you don't. But on the other, it's undeniable that this system doesn't make movies for everyone and doesn't give enough opportunities to minorities, and calling attention to this shouldn't be seen as part of them problem.
