The changes to the Daily Show have weakened the show, not strengthened it.

The segment with Rand Paul last week was brutal. Noah is just not a good interviewer, regardless. I know it's going to take some time to improve his skills, but in the meantime, it's just bad. What's bothersome though is that the writing isn't all that strong. The jokes aren't very good. And he's got a whole writer's room (presumably largely the same writer's room Jon Stewart had). So what's the problem? Is he not punching up the jokes like Stewart did? Is he picking the wrong jokes? Or is it just his delivery?
