Never has an opening act (he plays 3+ hours). Haven't heard of a surprise guest, but Eddie Vedder has shown up at probably 6 of the shows I've seen

him do here so that's always a possibility. Also Tom Morello (who's toured with them and is from here). He's playing The River album start to finish among his set.
