I saw him twice in 1980 on The River tour - the Ann Arbor show at Chrysler Arena mentioned here & the Detroit show following at Cobo Hall where we

Waited on a really cold night after the show and got his autograph. I snuck a recorder into the show where Bob Seger came out on the encore and my screams sounded much like when the Beatles got off the plane on their first US tour.

Those shows changed my life for concerts to follow. He is amazing.

I couldn't remember if we had an opening act or not - but the shows were definitely among the longest I have ever seen anywhere, anytime, anyplace.
