In a non joking response: I think there's two different types of dismissal, one that could have merit and one that never will.

Dismissing a policy idea e.g "Kick all Asians out of the USA" is okay I think, b/c that is an awful policy. (I realize no candidate has said this, that's why I use the example)
But to dismiss people who are not 'political players', to discount their whole existence in the process seems a very 'inside the beltway' attitude. I mean, sure, I think Trump supports are kind crazy/dumb, but I think they have they have the right to be crazy/dumb in our voting system. (but I sure hope they stop)
