I've seen it used elsewhere over the years, looks like it's more a common use than dictionary thing. coincidentally, I read a v. sad piece this

morning, front page story of the NYT, re: a navy seal commander who probably killed himself a few years ago.

help is out there for anyone with ptsd; but getting soldiers to seek and accept it is hard a lot of the time, despite more efforts being made to encourage it.

the number of people in this story who knew something seemed amiss but didn't go farther than a little is.. *shakes head* it's not easy, but man.
