I realized, last week, that some of the emergency water stores I had put in have...evaporated.

"emergency water stores" = a few 2gal jugs of water in the basement. There was a cut or something in one of them. It apparently was enough to allow for all the water to evaporate. It took me some time to find the cut. Otherwise, I was stumped how a sealed jug could have this happen.
