Star Trek:Enterprise Season 2 episode 23 (spoilers)

OK I can deal with where the Borg came from. (First Contact)
I can deal with the fact that TOS never deals with them. (Message not reaching Delta Quadrant for over 200 years)
My main problem is that Next Generation Enterprise knew nothing about the Borg when they first encountered them. Remember, Guinan was the one to explain the Borg to Picard and Riker.

An unnecessary episode, but as a stand alone, it is good. Suspenseful
