The more I think about it the less I want to do it.
On the up-side, my sister's son e-mailed me last night. I've never met him or his sister, despite reaching out to them over the past several years. They're real close with my uncle and aunt who live up near you (relatively speaking). I called them to ask them to pass on the info about my mother because the case worker asked if they might be interested in being involved. He said he met my mother - his grandmother - only once, the week before his mother died, when my step-father and mother came to the hospital. This was the infamous, "hello, sorry you're dying, I have to go shopping" incident.
