That's a fair point but if you'll recall, Romney largely ignored the rules.

He did what we wanted, which his team felt made him seem more presidential. I expect more of that in future presidential debates now that it's an established tactic, and Warren would be amazing at it. Reporters already naturally defer to her.
As you can tell, I really, really regret that she didn't run.
