Has anyone encountered this iTunes issue: "The iTunes update server could not be contacted."

"Please check your internet connection, or try again later."

I get this when I select "Check for updates" from the Help menu.

My internet connection id fine. I can access the iTunes store and my account. It doesn't appear that Windows Defender is blocking it.

Thoughts?

  - Well, strangely, try your ISP DNS then. I had to pop mine to Google from OpenDNS to get some windows updates not too long ago - oblique Jan 28, 13:31

        As do I, but I have a new iPod that I need to synch to my iTunes so I can load it with my music. So I need both updated. -- nm - TWuG Jan 28, 13:43
