Boston struggled/struggles with growth vs. preservation like a lot of cities.

There is massive regret that they razed the West End (where Nimoy grew up) and replaced it with antiseptic mega structured communities in the 60s and 70s. That freaked everyone out. And yet - developers are clamoring for land to build. They've created an entire neighborhood out of nothing, The Seaport district, which is banging now. They are attempting another creation as we speak.

Same as it ever was.
