those 3 hours by the way only get you chronologically to Sonny getting gunned down.
The deleted scenes and re-ordering are fantastic.
I never really realized how Vito worshipped Mike until this. Young Vito ignores Sonny and Fredo. When talking to a child he always talks to Michael.
The deleted scenes with young H. Roth or when Tom goes to Hollywood or additional scenes with the mortician all add to the story. It's sort of crazy how they had to cut things out and how adding them back in actually adds to the movie.
