I had a horribly emotional weekend with an okay finish. I hope everyone else's was better. (skip the inside if you don't want to gory details)

Thursday night, what started out a conversation about recognizing we were having some problems, but hoping that we could work things out and work to improve things ended with us breaking up. So we were both emotional wrecks that night and Friday.
Friday I had to drive to my parents for my grandmother's funeral on Saturday. The funeral itself was very nice, but having to support my mom was hard. Which at one point was quite literal because she almost collapsed crying walking from the chapel to the private family area after the service. I can handle a lot of things without issue, but seeing my mom crying and in pain is not one of them.
Last night my GF and I talked and we have decided we will work on things but when our lease is up in April, we will probably get separate places but continue to date and see how things go. It's not a perfect solution or ending, but at least it's a start. Who knows what could end up happening.
