Here's the way I see it: Trump supporters are unreasonably bonkers and will follow him regardless.

A Democrat can beat Trump, but he's got a strong following that will damage the Democrat and split the country. Cruz support is soft. His support isn't based on his personality but on his philosophy. Once Cruz's weak personality is exposed nationally, his support dissolves.
As a liberal, I need for Trump to be knocked out early and for Cruz to become the candidate. A Cruz candidacy would be a landslide for Democrats. But ultimately it'll be Clinton or Sanders vs. Rubio.
