that would require a liberal majority in both parts of congress, which is probably a bigger dream than bernie winning.

without those his policies are all talk. he knows that, which is why he is free to go so far down that path.
politics has become about "me" and not whats best, or even moderately plausibly "decent" for the country. Compromise is a hated word on one side. The other side cannot work coherently enough, even with majority status, to even function at a level required to pass its own agenda. And even then, it took years.
Now maybe the conservative side has fractured to the point where it will be as dysfunctional as the liberal side. If it has, then nothing will ever get done.
We are now in the middle of the politics of do-nothing-and-yell.
